Siding Case Studies: Shingle Roof Replacement in Lafayette, IN

Challenge

We were called to inspect a home in Lafayette, IN that was reporting multiple interior water stains on the ceilings. Our main challenge with this home was finding the source of the many leaks. The roof was only 7 years old and had been put on by a roofing company that was no longer in business. Therefore the homeowner didn’t have the original company to call to investigate the leaks or a warranty to cover the new damages. 

Solution

After assessing the condition of the roof, and locating the sources of the leaks, it was determined that the source of the leaks were actually coming from her siding.  We removed the existing siding, sealed the exposed flashing at the rooflines, installed new house wrap, and installed a few more components before installing the new Mastic Ovation siding. This fixed the leaks and the homeowner was happy she didn’t have to replace her roof!
