North American Contractors Case Studies: Finding The Source of a Leak in a Carmel Home

Challenge

A local property management company contacted us to investigate the source of a leak that their tenant had reported. Upon arrival would could see the interior damage cuased by the leak was located in the master bedroom closet. As you can imagine, the tenant was in urgent need of having this issue remediated as quickly as possible, since the leak was dripping into her personal belongings. 

Solution

Inspector Joe Fosnow scaled the roof and even checked the vinyl siding. He went thru every possible scenario to determine the source of the leak, and was successful. He was able to track the leak down to the chimney. Not only was it leaking from the roof area where the chimney was located but down thru the vinyl siding, cause water to get into the master bedroom closet. We were able to repair the damage and replace the flashing, housewrap and vinyl siding that were damaged from the leak.
