North American Contractors Case Studies: Roofing, Siding and Gutter Project in Lebanon, IN
Thursday, July 20th, 2017 by Ashley Rudolphi
Challenge
Due to the age of the siding on our customer’s home in Lebanon, we were faced with the challenge of receiving full approval to re-do the entire house. There was only one side that was damage during the storm, but the color difference between the “old” and “new” siding was drastic enough that the NAC team felt the entire project should be covered.
Solution
With only having damage to the left elevation, the insurance adjuster initially only approved for a partial replacement of the siding. Unfortunately, due to the age of the siding, it was severely faded and would not match the new siding we would install. Our homeowner was looking at having to pay for the additional elevations in order to have everything match! However, after a few rounds of negotiating and sending in samples of the “old” and “new” siding, we were able to get approval from the insurance company to put new siding on the entire house!
