1. Clean the area around your windows.
2. Take down your blinds and curtains. Your hardware should be fine, but you may want to check with the installer.
3. If you have a security alarm, deactivate your window sensors before the installers arrive.
4. Tree branches, shrubs and flower pots can create obstacles for the installers, so it can be helpful to cut back any foliage or move your flower pots beforehand.
5. Move any furniture that might be in the way, so the installers have a clear path from the window to the front door. If you are unable to move certain items, your installers should be happy to assist when they arrive.
