North American Contractors Case Studies: Battling the Snow on a Roof Repair
Monday, March 9th, 2020 by Alicia Hunneman
Challenge
We received a call from a homeowner who noticed shingles scattered around their yard after heavy winds. Once we performed our inspection we were able to confirm the shingles were mostly from her own roof. The roof was tarped, as we were expecting snow the very nexy day. We set the stage for expectations on the project repair timeframe upfront, as roofing in the winter time does have it’s obstacles.
Solution
We monitored the weather for when temperatures were above freezing. Thus ensuring the snow on the existing damaged roof would be melted, and we would have time to replace the missing shingles properly before another downpour of snow was anticipated. We were able to navigate the weather easily and repair the roof as needed.
